Spirit Upgrading Internet Access Services

Spirit Telecom, the provider of your access to e-mail and the Internet is making significant changes to how it provides your services.

The upgrade will require a few changes on your part, but will increase your protection from spam and viruses reaching your desktop through your e-mail and your web travels. The good news is that the change must only be done once.

You will have to use your full user name in your dialer connection and to receive and send e-mail. You will not be able to access the Internet, and your e-mail will not work if you do not make the following changes.

Use this web site to learn what you need to do to make the changes.

Change your user name in your dialer, and in your incoming and outgoing mail settings to username@spiritcom.net. For instructions on how to make the change, click on “Mandatory Settings For Logging On And Checking E-mail” on the left side of this page.

ToolkitMail will be replaced by Webmail. If you use ToolKitMail you must save your e-mail addresses for use following the upgrade. To learn how to save your e-mail addresses, click on “Saving ToolkitMail E-Mail Addresses” and follow the directions.

You will manage your account through a new End User Control Pane, for information on the new tool, click "How To Manage Your Account” on the left side of this page.

In addition, if your personal e-mail space is above your 100MB limit, you will have to reduce your usage or pay for additional space. For information on freeing up space, click "Managing Personal E-Mail Quota" and follow the directions.

If you need help making the changes, call your Technical Support representative at the number listed on the left hand side of this page.

If you have a question about your service, call your Customer Service representative at the number listed on the left hand side of this page.

We appreciate your support as we upgrade our service and look forward to serving you.
